Suicide Postvention is a strategy or approach that is implemented after a crisis or traumatic event has occurred. These are intentional steps taken by supervisors/management in the event of suicide in the construction community. Best practices in postvention are designed to reduce the rate of suicide contagion. Examples include safe communication with employees and families, providing grief counseling, memorials, and communication with the media.
